I often get asked who all these dogs are in my Instagram pictures (@christie_l90) and who they belong to. Well they are all big parts of my life but only two of them are mine. The five dogs (yes five) that I am constantly surrounding myself with are: Baxter, Moose, Charlie and the newest members of my immediate family Honey and baby Graham. If you’re looking at the big goldens thinking they look similar, you have a keen eye. Baxter, Charlie and Honey are siblings from three litters, they have the same parents. I will start with my dogs and go from there.
Honey
This is our first born fur child. She is a one year old golden retriever and she is very excited to have many dogs in her pack. As I said before she is related to Baxter and Charlie and she loves being around all the boys. We consider her our daughter which makes Baxter and Charlie sort of her brother uncles, Moose is her cousin and Graham is her brother husband or her roommate. TBD. She loves the water and if there’s a body of water near by you will find her taking her self for a swim, chasing ducks and sticks or absolutely soaked from being in it. She goes with us whenever we can take her. She has been to tons of breweries in her life and loves every minute. She is very energetic but also a big snuggler.
Graham
This is the newest member of the pack and our fur child. He is a 10 weeks old golden retriever at the point that I am writing this. He is of no relation to the other goldies but he fits in with them well already. We consider him our son. He is a lovable little nugget who is just about the most vocal puppy I have ever met. he lets you know what he wants and when he wants it. He LOVES his sister Honey. We have only had him 3 weeks but in that time these two have fully bonded and would play non stop if we let them. I will keep you posted on him as time progresses.
Baxter
This gorgeous and noble 3 year old Golden Retriever is my parents or my “brother”. He is by far one of the sweetest and most loving dogs I have ever met and I’m pretty sure he’s obsessed with me. He can be found sleeping on his back, hence “Back-ster” or “Ster”. Baxter enjoys walking with my mom and dad as well as supervising the rest of the pack romping. We call him the ref of the group. He is most often found watching everyone else run and keeping the rest in line. His pass-times also include laying on top of my mom or me on the couch and patrolling the beach, swimming, paddle boarding and chasing the eagles at my parent’s home on Whidbey island,

Moose
This lovable goof is a 2 year old Bernese Mountain Dog, the only non golden in the pack makes him a stand out in a crowd and people often flock to him. His humans are my actual brother and sister-in-law, making him my “nephew”. He is mostly found stomping around like the giant he doesn’t know he is with Baxter. He is also known for his love of being chased and he loves his long strolls with my brother. Between his face and the funny noises that he makes it’s hard not to have a good time when he’s around. My brother calls him a “T-rex” because if you don’t move he may not notice you at all. Moose and Honey have grown to be good friends, and while their energy level can become a bit much for him, he is still always happy to be around the goldens.
Charlie
This lovable nut is a wildly excitable, happy go-lucky 2 year old Golden Retriever. This sweet and heart stoppingly cute boy is my husband Spencer’s parents or my “brother-in-law”. Just to make it even more confusing he is also Honey and Baxter’s brother, same parents different litter. He loves to cuddle and run with anyone that will play with him. He is best described as a bounding bundle of joy that brings a smile to his whole family. He and Honey are an unstoppable tornado when they’re together. They play rough and hard. Being only 1 year apart they have grown up together and wrestle nonstop. When the two are worn down he’s happy to sit in your lap and just hangout.
Well that about wraps up who everyone is. I hope you enjoyed getting to know them and me a little bit better. So, without further ado I hope you get out there and Crusch it! Until next time, Kisses!
